Application Checklist - Where Are We in the Process?

Families often want to know where they are in the admission process. Here is the checklist we use to mark each student's path to entering Crosspoint. Please contact the school office if you are not sure if or when you have completed any of these steps.

Step 1: Building tour / FAQ / Initial interview

  • Review Crosspoint's Spiritual and Educational Philosophies
  • Discuss student and parents' (or guardian) goals and expectations
  • Discuss Crosspoint's goals and expectations
  • Receive enrollment forms, birth certificate, and immunization record


Step 2: Enrollment forms received / Registration fee paid

Step 3: School Board interview

  • Parents and student provide spiritual testimony (when applicable - see Application Process)
  • Verify academic and discipline records, if coming from another school setting
  • Review Academic and Behavior Probation Policies
  • Discuss expectations of parental support and participation


Step 4: Recommendation of School Board (Accepted or Declined)

Step 5: Teacher panel review

  • Review past academic and/or standardized testing results and discipline records
  • Conduct math, reading, and writing assessments
  • Student participates in a day of classroom observation, if school year is in session


Step 6: Teacher recommendation to School Board

  • Accepted or declined
  • Grade level placement


Step 7: Family notified by Administration

Step 8: Payment plan set up with school accountant / First bill sent to family
