Parent Communication

Parents

All communications for Crosspoint (newsletters, announcements, alerts, cancellations/closings, sports team updates) come through our provider SchoolCast. You should have received a website link, a user id, and temporary password. Please contact the office if you misplaced this sheet.

Have you been missing out on important correspondence from Crosspoint?

Directions:

SchoolCast can be accessed here.

Once you have logged in and changed your temporary password, you can choose how you would like to receive school information.

  • You may enter multiple contact methods: cell phones, email, landline.

  • You may also choose what type of school messages should be relayed to each contact. For example, you can choose everything to come to your email account (newsletters, etc) and have only the alerts to come to your cell phone.

  • Sports team notices can be added in the Groups section.

  • There is a login/password for each of your children enrolled in the school. This allows us to send special notices by grade, and it allows you to add your child's email or cell hone if you think it appropriate for him/her to receive the notices. For example, if you have a daughter on the volleyball team and a son on the soccer team, they can receive their team's updates.

There is a "Help" tab within SchoolCast, but if you have further questions about the set up or changing your preferences, please contact the school office.

Inclement Weather and Other Urgent Communications
From time to time, we may use SchoolCast to convey time-sensitive communications, particularly when the winter weather season begins. Crosspoint also uses the following information channels to keep you informed of school closings or delays:

  1. Schoolcast

  2. Television Channels 2, 4 and 30

  3. KMOX Radio

  4. Crosspoint Facebook page

  5. Instagram

Since our school families come from many locations across the Franklin County area, and since weather conditions can fluctuate even within our county, our general policy is to close if Meramec Valley R-III and one other local school district, generally Union or Washington, both close on the first day of a weather event. If school is in session but you think it is too dangerous to drive to school from your home, please stay home! You may bring your student in later, if that is possible. Any absence due to weather will not count toward the 10 absences allowed per semester. However, please be certain to call the school office to let us know about your decision.

Our goal is to conduct school when it is generally safe to do so and to cancel when it is appropriate. Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.

When using any of these forms of payment, a 3% convenience fee will be added to your account to offset electronic processing costs.  Payment by check, cash or your bank's online bill pay will not incur the additional fee.
