Admission
Application Process
Admission Dates
You may apply for enrollment to Crosspoint at any time. Students may sometimes need to transition to a new school during the school year. If that is your situation, we recommend (but do not require) that you wait for an academic quarter or semester break to make the academic transition smoother.
Procedure
Once you have determined that Crosspoint is a good fit for your family and student, Crosspoint staff will walk with you through our formal admission process. The list below describes our general guidelines and policies for admission; please note slight differences in the admission process for elementary and secondary.
-
Families complete a written "New Family Application" and "New Student Application" for each student. Parents must indicate on the application their agreement with Crosspoint policies and the school's statement of faith.
-
Students are given an academic evaluation to help the teaching staff make proper placement. Our students are placed in classes based on their ability to competently complete the curriculum while being challenged to perform to the best of their ability.
-
If your student is transferring from another school, Crosspoint will request past school records. Crosspoint must have all requested records before a student is granted admission. For homeschooling families, we will ask you to provide documentation of courses covered, grades assessed, and samples of student work.
-
Parents of elementary students will meet with the Administrator or Elementary Head Teacher for an interview.
-
Secondary students and their parents will meet with the Administrator and Crosspoint staff for an interview.
-
All students recommended for admission by the Crosspoint Administrator and staff must also meet with members of the Board of Directors for final approval.
-
The admissions process usually takes up to two weeks to complete. Filling out the paperwork is just the first step and does not imply immediate acceptance to Crosspoint. Students and their families will be notified whether their admission has been approved.
-
Each student's birth certificate and current immunization record must be on file prior to beginning classes. Immunizations must be current according to Missouri State Guidelines.
